GhanaAccess to medicines feedback meeting, Accra, Ghana - October, 200619 Oct 2006 - 8:30am 21 Oct 2006 - 3:30pm Etc/GMT+3 Following the completion in May 2006 of the baseline access to medicines study conducted in Ghana, a feedback meeting to disseminate the findings of the study will be held from 19th – 21st October 2006. During the meeting, to be held in Accra, participants will also develop action plans tailored for each health facility to be used in the implementation of the EPN guidelines. As the warehouse is part of PEPFAR’s Supply Chain Management System (SCMS), the visit will give the members an opportunity to obtain a first hand experience of how the system works. Ghana Access baseline surveyExecutive summary of baseline survey research in GhanaResearch for the ‘EPN guidelines’ baseline survey was carried out in Ghana in August–October 2005. This report of results provides the baseline for compliance with the ‘EPN guidelines’ in Ghana, and respondents represent over 2,545 beds and 694,500 outpatients. It is a statistically sound report for Catholic health services in the southern and central regions of Ghana (only 8% of respondents are from northern facilities).  |
