Video release - African Leaders on the Role of the Church in Family Planning
We like to present a new video from Christian Connections for International Health (CCIH) and among other EPN. Four religious leaders from Kenya, Nigeria and Zambia discuss the striking benefits to families and societies when couples are able to plan pregnancies. Religious leaders also explain why churches are uniquely positioned to educate communities about family planning and reach rural areas with services and supplies.
This video shows collaboration between Christian Connections for International Health (CCIH), Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK), Churches Health Association of Zambia (CHAZ) and EPN has helped in advocating for family planning with the engagement of religious leaders in Kenya, Zambia and Nigeria. In our work we have been able to produce a step-by-step guide to help faith based organizations train religious leaders to advocate for family planning with their communities, governments and the media. The guide is available in English and French. The guide and other collection of resources can be found in EPN’s Toolkit on Advocacy for Family Planning.
