The Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network, in collaboration with its member, Joint Medical Stores in Uganda, is carrying out a study of levels of Access to Essential Medicines available through church-related health services. This is the second part of the study, which was started in Malawi last year.
Researchers (from church-related health service organizations) will receive training, conduct field work, and then analyze data during the 10-day process (20th-29th July 2006).
The Access to Essential Medicines study in Uganda will set up the baseline for measuring the impact of interventions to improve access to essential medicines for church organizations and the clients they serve. This work is being made possible through the support of SIDA.
The agenda for training in the use of the research tools and the analysis of data for the report is attached below.
