Volunteer HIV AND AIDS PROGRAMME

The Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network is a Non Government Christian organization whose mission is to support churches and church health systems provide and promote just and compassionate quality pharmaceutical services. The organization which is based in Nairobi, Kenya wishes to recruit a volunteer to undertake selected activities within its HIV programme for a 6 month period. The volunteer will earn a stipend to cover transportation and basic living expenses.     

Programme activities include

  • Research and advocacy on issues around access to HIV and AIDS care and treatment.
  • Capacity building in the area of HIV/AIDS for Church Health Institutions, Drug Supply Organizations, Church Leaders and others in the church health system
  • Designing of interventions to increase the involvement of church institutions in the delivery of ART services.
  • Production and distribution of relevant, publications, manuals and other materials on HIV and AIDS.

Ideally the volunteer will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years experience in an HIV and AIDS programme including preparing IEC materials and conducting operational research. Working language for the job is English but knowledge of French will be a significant advantage.
