Journée Mondiale de la Santé 2011Le 7 avril 2011 était la Journée Mondiale de la Santé, une initiative de l'OMS. Cette année, le thème était la résistance aux antimicrobiens. L'EPN a fait activement partie de cette journée, en tant que partenaire du comité national organisant les événements au Kenya, ensemble avec des partenaires tels que l'OMS et le gouvernement du Kenya (Département de Promotion de la Santé). Les événements ont eu lieu à Riruta Health Centre à Dagoretti, Nairobi. Des pubs ont été diffusées à la radio locale Citizen et le Women News Network a rapporté sur la journée: Interview FBO Leaders in Action avec Donna KusemererwaLe HRH Global Resource Center (http://www.hrhresourcecenter.org), la librairie digitale de ressources humaines de CapacityPlus pour l'information sur la santé, a publié un Interview de Leaders d'OIR en action avec Donna Kusemererwa, Directeur Général de l'EPN. Dans cette interview, Ms Kusemererwa partage ses vues sur le rôle des OIR dans la formation et le développement de nouvelles capacités pour les ressources humaines dans le domaine de la santé. Magazine de Difaem sur 30 ans EPNLe magazine Gesundheit in der Einen Welt récemment publié contient un article intéressant sur les 30 ans de l'EPN. Le Directeur General précédent, Eva Ombaka, parle de l'histoire du réseau et du travail qui a été fait dans les 3 dernières décennies. Interview sur l'EPN sur le site web allemand Pillen-Checker.deLe site web allemand www.pillen-checker.de est fait pour la jeunesse et contient de l'information sur des produits pharmaceutiques et la promotion de médicaments. Le site web vise à motiver la jeunesse d'évaluer leur propre comportement en tant que consommateur. Ils ont récemment fait un interview avec l'EPN. On parle (en allemand) de comment travaille l'EPN, le role de la liste de médicaments essentiels, l'usage rationnel des médicaments, etc. L'EPN joint le Réseau International Medicus MundiL'application de l'EPN de joindre Medicus Mundi International avait été recue positivement par le Secrétariat de MMI à la fin de juin 2010. Pendant l'Assemblée extraordinaire le 5 novembre 2010 à Amsterdam, l'EPN a été accepté officiellement comme membre du Réseau. Medicus Mundi International est un Réseau d'organisations privées à but non lucratif qui sont actifs dans le domaine de coopération de santé intérnationale et plaidoyer. EPN Coordinator wins Olle Hansson Award 2007The Olle Hansson Award which recognizes the contribution of individuals from developing countries in promoting the concepts of essential drugs and their rational use and increasing awareness among consumers of the dangers of irrational and hazardous drugs has been awarded to Dr Eva Ombaka this year. KENYA: Church Unity Needed to Curb HIV/AIDS, Leaders SaysNAIROBI, January 27, 2006 (CISA) -Delegates attending a weeklong workshop on the HIV/AIDS for church leaders have stressed the need for churches to network to curb the scourge. "Many a time, we, as church leaders, have tackled the issue on individual basis rather than face it ecumenically", said the 25 delegates from Kenya, Ghana, Rwanda, Cameroon, and Burkina Faso.
