Support our mission The Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network is a Non Government Christian organization, based in Nairobi – Kenya, whose mission is to support churches and church health systems provide and promote just and compassionate quality pharmaceutical services. We currently have four main programme areas that focus on: Access to and rational use of medicines, HIV and AIDS treatment, Professionalization of pharmaceutical services and Pharmaceutical information sharing. Be part of a strong history EPN has been active in providing support for pharmaceutical services in particular and strengthening health systems in general for almost 30 years, since it started as a programme of the Christian Medical Commission of the World Council of Churches. Connect to the world EPN is a broad network with members and partners from all over the world. Becoming a member of EPN will provide you or your organization with the possibility to associate with institutions and individuals from across Africa, India, Southeast Asia, Australia, South-America, the United States and Europe under a common vision of just and compassionate quality pharmaceutical services for all.
Share and learn You benefit directly from EPN membership through the numerous opportunities for learning and sharing. EPN provides technical assistance, informative publications, tools, training and guidelines, as well as exposure and opportunities for capacity development on pharmaceutical issues. In addition, joint efforts and activities of the network, such as procurement, audits and quality testing, can allow you to benefit from power in numbers. For example, EPN's ongoing project on pooled quality control of medicines is ideal for any member to join in and test their medicines.
Step into the light and raise your voice You know you have been doing great things, working towards your mission, goals and a healthier, happier society. But does the world know it too? Our international reach, website and publications, printed and online, and focus on advocacy and raising awareness can increase the visibility of both your institution and the pharmaceutical issues that you care about. Through the Network, the issues that concern you can be given a voice at regional and global level. In partnership, we can make change happen. There are two classes of membership:
Full membership Full membership is mainly restricted to church owned institutions i.e. Christian Health Associations, Christian Secretariats, Church related pharmaceutical agencies, church health institutions, church-related donor agencies and church - related health care providers. Associate membership Associate membership is open to any individual, institution or organization that supports the objectives and shares the values of EPN.
