EPN and the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), Kenya, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen efforts aimed at improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes in the country. Both organizations acknowledge the urgent need to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality in Kenya. This partnership focuses on ensuring the availability of high-quality Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) products, enhancing regulatory compliance, and reinforcing both healthcare and pharmaceutical systems.
The MoU establishes a collaborative framework to support the introduction of innovative, quality-assured MNCH products and services nationwide. Through this joint effort, EPN and PPB aim to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of mothers and newborns across Kenya.

The MOU was signed on 14 May 2025 by EPN Executive Director, Dr. Richard Neci and PPB Chief Executive Officer, Dr. F.M. Siyoi at the PPB offices, Nairobi. Among those present were Dr. Stephen Kigera, Chairperson of the EPN Board, as well as officials from EPN, PPB, Mission of Essential Drug Supplies (MEDS) and Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK).
