Learn from the 2018 Conference

Sixty Seven (67) from 22 African countries convened for ReAct Africa and South Centre conference 2018  in November 2018. Drawn from human health, animal health, agriculture, and environment sectors, the participants held discussions on the theme Combating Antimicrobial Resistance in Africa to Achieve the 2030 Agenda”.

The discussions focused on the link between Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and AMR and how the failure to address AMR would impact the attainment of the 2030 Agenda.  Resultantly, participants identified successes, challenges, and recommendations for the implementation of National Action Plans (NAPs) on AMR in relation to SDGs and One Health.
