Zilpha is a public health and health systems strengthening specialist with over 18 years of experience in policy and advocacy, health programme management, and strategic partnerships. She brings expertise in evidence-informed advocacy, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and multisectoral collaboration to support stronger health systems across the region.
At EPN, Zilpha will provide technical support in policy and advocacy initiatives focused on improving equitable access to quality-assured medicines, strengthening pharmaceutical systems, promoting local pharmaceutical manufacturing, and advancing regulatory harmonisation across Africa.
Prior to joining EPN, Zilpha held leadership roles at the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK), where she contributed to advocacy, strategic partnerships, health systems strengthening, and community health initiatives. She has worked with governments, faith-based organisations, development partners, and regional networks to advance universal health coverage.
Zilpha holds a Master of Public Health from the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, Belgium, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Fellowship in HIV Project Management from the University of Nairobi in collaboration with the University of Washington.
