Webinar 1: Weak Quality Management Disrupts Gains Achieved in Supply Chain Strengthening will explore the critical issue of maintaining the quality of health products as they move through the supply chain. While medicines and other health products may leave manufacturers fully compliant with quality standards, weaknesses in storage, transportation, distribution, and handling can compromise their safety and effectiveness before they reach patients.
The webinar will examine where quality failures commonly occur across the supply chain, distinguish between manufacturing-related defects and post-approval degradation, and discuss practical approaches to strengthening quality management systems. Participants will also gain insights into gaps in monitoring and oversight that can leave sections of the distribution network vulnerable to quality risks.
The session is designed to provide evidence-based perspectives and real-world experiences from experts working across pharmaceutical supply chains in Africa and beyond.
